Cloning around and texting too

I really enjoyed using the cloning, text, and painting tools to add to my photos. I used them more to add and make my photos more creative and fun then to really fix them. I used the clone tool to clone parts of several different pictures to create this picture from my daughters first time exploring the pumpkin patch. I also added  my name with the text tool!

This photo is from my daughters first birthday I used the text and paint tools to use some of her party themed colors to create a banner over her first cake experiences.

Filter fun

I turned this picture of my silly little girl into a fun cartoon looking picture using the cartoon filter and the neon filter! I really had a lot of fun playing with the different filters. I enjoyed the artistic ones if your going to really change you picture in a fun/silly way :-) very playful
This is the original before I cropped it and used the filters! she kept this wig on for hours
This is picture is cropped and I used a artistic filter to change the look of the picture. I think it gives it a more cozy feeling that a family portrait would want to have!

Dodging and Burning the lighting

This is using dodge and burn over  subjects face and along shirt and wood beams. this photo was taken in a cave at the lost river last summer there was very low lighting it was only the flash and light from lantern you can see in the picture but his face was priceless I was excited to be able to edit this photo and share with this little guys parents :-)

This is dodge and burn also with lighting filter
this is similar to what the above pictures looked like before editing with dodge and burn and lighting filters I am not sure what happened but unfortunately my original was saved over I'm still getting use to photo shop :-)

The lighting

Here is my first attempt at editing  the lighting using the brightness and contrast levels and color levels. the original photo was darkened because of backlighting from the sun. Changing the contrast and brightness helped make both subjects more visible.

this is the original.
This is a photo of our daughters first trip to the range! I used color saturation and increased brightness. I also cropped this photo because I thought it would get rid of some of the background noise.

making selections

This is my finial project from selecting and moving a photo from one picture onto another. I used the add selections with the lasso and eclipse tools there are some edges that were not very clean cut. Overall I thought placement over my daughter in this  landscape creates a fun picture

The lay of the land

I found this week’s assignment to be a bit more difficult to find the inspiration. I think a great deal of it was because of the lack of color or sparkle which are a bit easier for me to enjoy and capture pictures that I really like. I had to experiment outside my comfort zone and I feel that this helped me learn more about myself as a photographer as well as pushed me to take pictures I may have other wised missed. I played up the black and white as well as contrast in most of these photos.
